Amrit Dares to Dream

Amrit Centre for Special Needs (formerly known as “The Society for the Aid of Handicapped Children”) is an NGO, which started to function in 1963 to cater to the needs of differently abled (intellectually and physically challenged) children presently catering to Intellectually differently abled children.

The Institution caters to children of all ages from birth to 18 and above with different types of disabilities. We have well equipped departments with trained personnel to handle various services focusing on intellectual, physical and vocational abilities.

Amrit Centre is largely supported in its activities by help received from the philanthropists, sensitive public, Industrialists and Service Organisations.

Amrit Dares to Dream….with the help of a responsible and dedicated team of the Principal, Special Educators,CareGivers, Therapists, Administrative Staff, Helpers and Volunteers who strive to take Amrit to greater heights, supported by a proactive committee.

To identify, help and enable children with Special Needs to equip themselves with skills necessary to lead a dignified and meaningful life like any other citizen of our country transforming them as contributors to the family and society.

  • To help Parents with children who are at risk and to provide Early Intervention and Special Education.
  • To evolve and adapt special methods and techniques to enable differently abled children to integrate smoothly
  • To impart vocational skills and to make them self-sustainable by regular training and guidance.
